153/365: Goodbye Barcelona!

Goodbye Barcelona

I guess I have a thing for fountains. Water is, indeed, a super cool subject. And I wanted something suitably wonderful as my last picture, so I give you the Magic Fountain. For more shots, see Flickr.

Tonight is my last night in Barcelona, so unless I take photos at the airport tomorrow, you may expect a return to New York City starting Sunday.

Wow, that is amazing. I love fountains and water too. To get a night shot with those colors is wonderful.

I'd love to know how you did it too.

Your shots of Barcelona have been great, thanks for taking us with you ;).

Well, the ambient light was actually brighter than I wanted it to be, so I set the f-stop to f/11, and that let me go down to a 1.3sec exposure. I also set the film speed to ISO 200. Then, I set it down on a railing (since I didn't have a tripod) and hit the shutter!

Well, your approach worked! Good idea to eliminate some of the ambient light all the better to get those colors.

Welcome home!

The other photos at Flickr are just as beautiful.

What a fabulous shot! Says good-bye and love and happiness and all wonderful things. We'll miss Barcelona with you (didn't time fly by?). Did you get all your work there done? Are you dreaming in Catalan?
