149/365: Grim but satisfying
I probably took better pictures today, but somehow I like this one the best. As I was walking across Plaça Catalunya to find my friend, I noticed this gull eating a pigeon. It was gruesome, but I have to admit that it doesn't pain me very much to see Mother Nature in action when pertains it to pigeons.

Eek!! What a crazy picture.
At first I thought it was pretty because of the pink flowers. And then I was about to close it, having sort of read your words but not very closely and I was like, but what is that furry stuff in his mouth, so I re-read what you wrote and then noticed that foot sticking up!
I really like that you can't see the whole bird, but just his foot. It's very macabre.
pigeon foot in the air! that is pretty awesome, even though i am admittedly a crazy bird lady and therefor should not relish in these things...
What a great photo! The foot sticking up in the air gives it the feel of a Far Side cartoon.
So so so creepy! Also, I can't decide which is ickier -- a pigeon or a gull.

This image stands out to me too. It communicates so much. I like this type of photography. The foot of the pigeon really creates an emotional response for me.
