34/365: Madame C.J. Walker Way
A group of Harlem residents were asking passers-by if they would sign a petition to rename a section of 135th St. after Madame C.J. Walker. When we asked who she was, we were told, "She made hair care products." In fact, her story is considerably more interesting than that.

You are GOOD! I love the composition of this shot: four objects, all wearing head wraps of some kind (even the hat is a headwrap), some looking toward the camera, some way. The pink wrap as a focal point . . . the mood is happy. Love it!!!
I agree - this is lovely. The focus, the expressions - especially the young woman in the pink. Just wonderful.
You take the best street photos.
Wish I could sign the petition.
And I've been enjoying your photos all year. Thanks for sharing them with us all.
