The carousel was on the river promenade near the London Eye. You do this by panning along with the moving object. The idea is to move about as fast as the thing you're trying to focus on is moving.
Oh you did such a great job of capturing action! Love the colors. This is a fine shot.

It is a beautiful shot. I've wanted to try this, but I'm always on the carousel with the kids rather than taking the pic from outside...
