This is kinda evil, but you may need to clean your sensor. I get those little black dot/smudges all the time, and they stay there until I clean my sensor. They always show up on blue sky backgrounds for me.
I've done it with one of those blowers - the dry ones, not the compressed air. But sometimes it doesn't do the trick. I actually had to take the camera into a shop once and they just ran a super blower over it and hey-presto it was ok. There's got to be a cleaner product to use at home that works, right?

Absolutely, OR. I've known for a while. I just don't really know how to do it without breaking things. How do you do it?
